Collision avoidance systems will be standard

The US National Transportation Safety Board has recommended “life-saving benefits of currently available collision avoidance systems (CAS)” become standard on all new passenger and commercial vehicles. These safety features will be incorporated in the NHTSA Levels 2 and 3 vehicles.

Already, Volvo’s collision prevention system is estimated to reduce accidents by 28% and has helped to reduce the amount of insurance claims.
